Episode #95: Culture and Community - Guest Aaron Ragon

In this episode, Phil Boyte and guest Aaron Ragon, Lead Counselor for Douglas County School District in Colorado, share ways to support staff and student well-being. A little more about Aaron: 

Aaron Ragon is the Counselor Lead for Douglas County School District (DCSD).  Aaron received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and Masters degree in Educational Counseling/Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver.  He also has a principal certification from Lamar University in Texas. In his lead role, Aaron works to support 186 school counselors through advocacy, training and strategic planning. He strives to promote good community relations among various district and community stakeholders. Aaron has worked in (DCSD) as a high school counselor for over ten years and worked previously at an international school in Tokyo Japan for two years.  He also worked for several years at the inpatient psychiatric unit at The Children’s Hospital in Denver and as a therapist in private practice. Aaron’s passion is supporting vulnerable youth and building positive and robust culture and climate.
